Prayer Request - I know, I know, two posts in one day is a little crazy... but this is important.

Hey guys and gals!

Just wanted to remind everyone that Mike Barker still needs a ton of prayer. He is making a lot of progress and the Lord is with him each day, but we can do more.

My Dad heard from Mike's grandparents over the weekend and it sounds like Mike could use some major prayer for his self-image. I know that he got to go out and about (to the mall) over the weekend, but Grandpa Dickau said that he was quite concerned about people looking at him and what their reaction would be. Now, those of you who have ever seen Mike, you know that he's not even close to 'hard on the eyes' and this concern should be at the bottom of the pile, nonetheless, he is worried about it. And that means less of his energy is being put into his recovery. So, let's pray that the Lord will grant Mike confidence in his appearance and ease his mind of these worries and allow him to focus on his relationship with his Lord and Saviour, as well as his recovery.
